Well it's been a great year! I had the opportunity to photograph many artists and added new clients to my list this past year!
Although I've put down the instrument and am only been shooting, my musical soul is at least satisfied with this artistic endevour. I look forward to shooting more in the new year, and working with the bands I've already established relationships with! From the bottom of my heart I want to thank those who continue to support my work and the arts! In particular, I want to give a huge shout out to Sally Melo, Louie Anyos, Reggie Hache, Clayton Brown, The boys from Stone Travellers, International Blindfold, The Pop Junkies, and last but not least my partner in life and photography, Cindy Fraiberg. Thank you all for your support!
Until next year, enjoy the season and look forward to seeing, meeting and hopefully shooting you! Cheers!

Sally and The MeloHearts at HRC, Vancouver
A couple of weeks back I was hired to Sally and The MeloHearts at one of my favorite venues, the Hard Rock Casino here in Vancouver. We also recorded audio from the night and I then produced a promo video for the band. Using audio clips from the night and photos that myself and Cindy Fraiberg shot at the show, this is the final product!

Lovers Kiss Photo Project
Launching of a new photo project!
I was inspired by a video I saw last year of people meeting and kissing for the first time. Complete strangers brought together with the idea of capturing their first kiss on video. I liked the concept and thought about doing a project where I would capture on film, lovers engaged in a passionate kiss.
Inspired by a photo my partner and I had shot years back, I wanted to take the idea of that picture, the raw emotion of the kiss and embrace, and capture other Lovers intimate moment similar to ours. Our photographer Andy Woodford, captured the moment perfectly for us. Now I want to do the same for others.
The intent of the project is to show emotion, pure and simple. Nothing has more emotion than 2 lovers in a passionate embrace and kiss. That electric moment when all else fades around you both, and it's just the two of you, in that moment, where nothing can come between you. I want to capture that moment in time and share it not only with the couple, but with the world. I would like to possibly take this to a gallery showing, E-Book, and possibly publishing down the road.
I'm looking for a cross section of couples from all corners. I want to show the similarity of a passionate kiss from a diverse group of couples. If you would like to participate, please contact me to arrange a date/time for a shoot. For your help with this project, I will provide each couple a fully edited digital picture of their kiss. Which btw, looks great on canvas, hanging on a wall!
Look forward to hearing from some of you and if you would like to follow the progress of the project, find us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/loverskissphotoproject

Summer Update!
Well the summer has ramped up and I've been keeping busy between work, family vacations and shooting events and concerts for clients. Recently I've been shooting for Pop Junkies at the Hard Rock Casino Vancouver. Have to say one of my favorite venues to shoot in! Also doing other shoots for Slam Lotus as they continue to perform and showcase their latest work. Last weekend, I managed to slip out and shoot some of my old friends at the White Rock Blues Society show for the IBC candidate to send to Memphis and represent WRBS. Got to shoot Harpdog, James Buddy Rogers, Sabrina Weeks and Swing Cat Bounce, and Jimmy D. Lane to finish off the night! Lots more work coming down the pipe, but first some quality family vacation time! For now, here are some pics of Harpdog and Pop Junkies to have a look at!

Spring is here!
Well spring is here and I can't believe it's March already! Where does the time go?
I've been busy with a few photoshoots and some other artistic projects that involve a camera. As it stands, I will be moving towards a more focused site on my photography, rather than music.
Since stopping actively playing and performing last June, I've seemed to have ramped up my photography projects. Taking on some new clients and keeping up with some of my regular ones has been rewarding and satisfying my artistic need to be around great music!
Moving forward, I'm looking at shooting more shows, in particular the Change of Frequency Benefit in May. I'm also looking forward to starting a couple of new photo art projects and doing a gallery showing down the road!
Stay tuned and comeback often for updates and hopefully a new look to the site in the distant near future! Cheers!

On Sunday, January 5th, 2013, a large group of bass players from the Vancouver area assembled for a photo shoot. The event took place at the Vancouver Community College auditorium. We gathered for a couple of hours and shot some various pics. Cameron Hood, along with several other people, organized it and shot the main photos. It was an honor to stand amongst some of the greatest bassists in the Vancouver area!
